It wouldn’t be much of a project without an actual project, now would it?
A large reason why we wanted to start The Blogger Project was to encourage the blogging community to be more open with their successes. At times blogging can feel like some secret cult.
We are both very open with the growth of The Healthy Maven and Fit Foodie Finds and love that our experiences can help and encourage other bloggers to take their blogs to the next level. However, it’s easy for us to give advice on how to grow your blog and run it as a business when we’ve already made that leap with our own blogs.
We wanted a way to show all of you that it wasn’t a fluke. That hard work and consistently learning and growing with the industry really does pay off. But giving you the behind-the-scenes look at our blogs would only tell half that story. Most of the work that went into growing our blogs into successful businesses happened in the beginning stages. And much have that information has been lost into the depths of our memories…or cyberspace!
So we figured, what better way to show you all how to do it than to start a brand new blog from scratch and track everything for all of you to see?
And that’s how “The Project” was born.
The official “project” of The Blogger Project is SHEuncovered, a women’s lifestyle blog where we share some of our passions outside of blogging and the kitchen. SHEuncovered is allowing us to explore our interests in design, beauty, fashion etc…while also giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the building of a blog.
Each month we will be sharing “project reports” which will cover 5 main categories (blogging basics, social media branding and marketing, tech tips and monetization) as they relate to SHEuncovered. We will give you an in-depth look at our analytics, income, expenses and tips and tricks that are working to help grow our new blog.
You will be able to follow along with the journey of SHEuncovered as it unfolds and take what we’re learning in our experiences and apply them to your own blogs. It’s an opportunity for us to showcase our successes but also our failures and how we are learning and growing from them.
Stay tuned each month for a new report and be sure to check out SHEuncovered for some of the fun DIY and lifestyle projects we’ve been up to!
